Whether you are a serious follower of the rock industry, or are lucky enough to have made being apart of it your career, you are probably one of the 99% of people who love to flaunt your favorite bands' colors.
I know that I do - about 75% of my t-shirts are band tees.
Unfortunately, most of them are also men's tees because few stores offer women the same variety of band clothing that males get (esp. when it comes to rock bands). This can be annoying because, in my experience, many of these t-shirts have long, wide sleeves which I'm afraid makes my arms look bigger than they are and just doesn't look as feminine as I would like.
I spent some time scanning blogs for ideas to make these types of band tees look better, and (being the huge Nirvana fan that I am), found these to look quite epic ;)

Sheryl Crow Inspired Outfit
A few days ago I was looking at pictures of Sheryl Crow and stumbled across this one (featured to the right; isn't it awesome?!)
Crow is another tough-girl rocker whose outfits are attractive and unique, yet wearable by women other than herself.
I love how she flawlessly combines the leather jacket (what rocker doesn't love leather?), jeans and waistcoat. I've never seen a waistcoat mixed with leather until now - wow, does it look great!
After about a millisecond's pause, I knew this outfit is one that I will be buying next time I go clothes-shopping, and I couldn't pass up sharing the look with you, either. The image below features the different pieces used in this outfit. I couldn't find anything exact (obviously) and the image stops just below Crow's waist, so I had to improvise with shoes. I think boots are appropriate...I love the one pictured. Check it out and let me know your thoughts in the comments:

How to Dress Like Avril Lavigne
Unfortunately, that style is sometimes so outrageous that it's very difficult to recreate.
That's what drives me crazy about Hayley Williams - her outfits are SO crazy and colorful (and really cool)! But many of them are so unique, you pretty much have to be Hayley Williams to pull them off.
Avril Lavigne on the other hand is more subtle.
The "pop punk princess" has always made it a priority to put her music in front of her image, stating "...I don't want to sell [my body]. I feel that's sort of lame and low. I've got so much more to say."
She loves hoodies, jackets, jeans and t-shirts... and the color black. Until shaving it, Lavigne has never done much to her hair. To top it off, she always wears black eyeliner. This creates a look that is both simple and stylish. Anyone could pull it together with even the most limited wardrobe.
Here are a few ways to dress like Avril Lavigne.
